Checklist for rebuilding or changed use of existing machinery. Is a new CE-marking required?

At extensive repair work and modifications on machinery, as well as at changed use or changed operation site, independent of if the machinery is CE-marked or not, a new Risk assessment has to be carried out, and possibly a new  CE-marking has to be made.

The following can be required:

• Audition regarding the safety standard of a machine or a system.

• Suggest alteration requirements.

• Completion of the strength and stability calculations and drawings.

• Issue new or amended operation instructions.

• Translate existing operation instructions which are not available in the national language.

• Incorporate the agreed actions.
